Polite Invitations
We use "Would you like to...?" to be very polite. It's great for teachers, new friends, or grown-ups.
- "Would you like to 
have lunchwith me?" - "Would you like to 
get some juice?" - "Would you like 
a snack?" 
Casual Invitations
With close friends, we can be more casual. We use "Do you want to...?" or "Let's...".
- "Do you want to 
get pizza?" - "Do you want to 
have a snack?" - "
Let'sgo get ice cream!" 
How to Say YES!
If you want to go, you can say:
- "Yes, 
I'd love to!" - "
That sounds great!" - "Sure, why not?"
 - "Yes, please!" (If they offer you something, like "Would you like a cookie?")
 
How to Say NO (Politely)
If you can't go, it's nice to be polite.
- "
I'm sorry, I can't. I'm busy." - "
I'd love to, butI can't." - "
Maybe another time?"
